Season 1, Episode 11—Eve
The unexplained exsanguination of two fathers on opposite sides of the country sparks an investigation that brings Mulder and Scully to the two men’s 8-year-old daughters, Teena and Cindy—both girls unrelated but having the physical characteristics of identical twins. With information supplied by Deep Throat, Mulder discovers Teena and Cindy are the products of a cloning experiment that was part of an abandoned Cold War-era super-soldier program. The plot thickens when Teena and Cindy are kidnapped by cloaked individuals.
A suspenseful episode, “Eve” boasts good performances, and a twisty story that keeps you on the edge of your seat up until the end. Despite its convoluted premise, the screenplay is never confusing and moves at a good pace.
